[toggle title=”How Do I Register an Account?”]

Registering for a new account at Uwazii MOBILE is absolutely free and takes only a few minutes. Please note that all fields must be completed in order to register successfully. You will need to provide the required information when registering. Please note that only Kenyan mobile numbers are allowed during the registration process as we’ll send you a verification code. The mobile number needs to start with 254… Once you have entered the information correctly, click “REGISTER ACCOUNT” and you will be redirected to a page where you’ll need to enter the 6 digit verification and then proceed to the login screen and test our and services. Your account will by default be credited with KSh. 10.00. Please click here to register an account now.

On our website, please click “My Account” on the navigation bar and enter your ‘Username’ and ‘Password’. These should have been sent to you by email when you created your account. However, if you didn’t get the email for one reason or another, you can reset your password by clicking on “Reset Password”. You will need to provide either your username or the email address used while registering the account.

On a successful registration process, your account will be allocated with KSh. 10.00. To start, visit www.uwaziimobile.com, click on “My Account”, and login with your Username and Password. Once you have logged in, you will be able to test our services and send single and bulk SMS’s with your free credits.

We believe in a fair pricing policy and do not cut our clients on buying power. Being a low-cost SMS service provider, our cost per 150 character SMS is KSh. 0.65 across all mobile networks in Kenya. Please view our pricing page for accurate costs.

[toggle title=”Are There Any Other Costs Involved With Sending Messages?”]

We do not charge any setup fees for sending messages nor monthly fees or any other additional fees. We operate on a prepaid basis. The credits that you buy will stay in your account as long as your account stays active from the purchase date. We also do not charge users for replying messages other than for premium rated shortcodes and network tariffs.

Uwazii MOBILE operates on a prepaid basis. When you want to top up your account, you can purchase credits online via the “Wallet” section in your account. We support credit purchase via Mobile Money Transfer, Credit Card, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or Direct Bank Deposit.

[toggle title=”How Long Does It Take For a Message to Be Delivered?”]

Our goal is to deliver every message as soon as it sent. However, there are times when we have high queues hence there may be some delays. Though so, we expect messages to delivered approximately in 15 seconds. Each Uwazii MOBILE user is able to send out 120,000 SMS messages per hour through our gateway.

Each message sent through our SMS gateway shows a live message status report whether successfully delivered or not. To see the status of each message, go to “Reports” in the account area to view the status of each SMS.

[toggle title=”Do You Support Replies to SMS Messages?”]

Yes, we do support replies through Keywords and Shortcodes. The recipients of messages that you send via our system can reply to your messages. The reply messages will be delivered to the inbox section of your account. Replies can also be forwarded to your application through a URL, at no cost, or to a cell number, if preferred, this will cost as a normal message at KSh. 0.65.

[toggle title=”How Do I Check My Account Balance?”]

When you login to your account, your account balance will be shown on the upper left side of your screen, at the bottom there is a bar showing how the balance is decreasing.

When logged into your account, click on “Messages” and then click on the icon named “inbox”. On the right-hand side, all the replies to your messages or messages sent to you will be shown there.

[toggle title=”How Do I Import New Numbers Into an Existing Group?”]

We currently do not have this feature in place. However, we have an option of creating new contacts and then updating them into a group. In the new future, we shall avail the service. To do this, please see the “Phonebook” section in your account.

[toggle title=”Can I SMS Certain Numbers Only?”]

Yes, if you already have contacts added to your phonebook, you can select the contacts to be messages from the “Normal Messages” section. You need to select the phonebook option and then select the contacts that you would like to message.
